It is with great sadness that we have to report that David Koryczan, an active member and enthusiastic volunteer with the club, has been involved in a serious cycling incident recently. Paramedics and the Air Ambulance attended to David but sadly his injuries were too severe and he passed away.
David and I only met a couple of times whilst he was volunteering at our annual Road Race. I remember that he was a very pleasant, quiet and helpful chap and my fondest memory was David being in the lead car and causing a little havoc with radios; he just forgot to plug it in!
We did, however, quickly resolve it, had a fun race and also a good laugh about it afterwards.
We will pass on details regarding the funeral arrangements in due course.
Our thoughts go to his partner and family at this very sad time.
