TT August Summary:

Joe Grey:

·      One club 10 on the r10/17 in Monmouthshire with a 10mile pb.

·      National 10 last weekend - 14th with bike trouble in the warmup, and absolutely horrendous wind and rain, so a cautious ride for me!

Rachel Green:

·      On 3^rd - Welsh championships R10/17

·      On 14^th - VTTA London and Home Counties H10/3R - 3 lady bronze medal!

·      On 17^th - Royal Dean Forest 25 miles R25/7

·      On 24^th- 15 miles Newbury Velo H15/3

Andrew Simpkins:

·      VTTA 10 mile at Hungerford on 13^th, in 24:51 - 11^th of 37 on Age Adjusted Time. 

·      North Shropshire Wheelers 25 mile on 24^th in 1:04:59 - 6th of 31 on Age Adjusted Time.

Jo Wilkie:

Alps training camp at start of the month helped!  

·      Latton win on the U48 adjusting from the Alps and into TT mode.

·      Didcot Phoenix CC win in 10 mile Open in a time of 24:19 (not a fast day it seemed). Another Latton and 2nd Lady in 24:34, a respectable time on the course. Also, 2nd lady in the series hosted by Swindon Wheelers and Swindon Road Club based on best 6 results.

Bank Holiday was a weekend of back-to-back races:

·      Newbury Velo Fast Fifteen (H15/3) - 2nd lady in 36:05 (same time as last year). I couldn’t quite get under the 36 target.

·      Back on the A4 the next morning for Newbury RC’s event on the H25/1A - with a season’s best and course pb of 1:01:24 – very pleased and despite racing the day before! Also 3rd placed lady. 

·      To finish the month another 25 miler, organised by Didcot Phoenix, on the H25/17. Only 10sec slower than the previous week event and a slower course. Happy with a time of 1:01:34 and 2nd lady.
