The summer party is the opportunity to recognise and celebrate some remarkable people in the club in three areas: Most Considerate Rider, Most Contributions to Community Activity and Most Improved Rider.
While there was only one winner in each category, 21 members were nominated by their peers.
Most Considerate Rider: Nigel Woodcock for the relentless work he has done on both the Sunday Sportives and the new to the club Thursday rides. Other nominees were, Louise Bish, Don Muir, Jonathan Nichols, Steve Smith, Graham Wilson, Ewan Wright, Gerard McHugh, Mark Chick and Ray Lock.
Most Contributions to Community Activity: Lesley Jeanes for being the inspiration and driver of many of the community activities we now undertake. Another and obvious nominee was Gareth Cook.
Most Improved Rider: Laura Newton for her progress in the speed groups, undertaking longer rides and being at ease on the bike. Laura stands on the shoulders of some equally outstanding nominations, Jessica Jones, Barnaby Huxtable, Nina Hodgson, Mark Lugg, Louise Bish, Matt Brumwell, Jenny Rutter and Ben Waghorne.
