You will have read in the club newsletter, MTB coaching has been organised for any rider wanting to improve their MTB skills. Our coach will be Katy Curd and team based down in the Forest of Dean. Katy is a retired world cup racer and currently trains our current British XC World Champion Evie Richards.
Her website is https://www.katycurdcoaching.com/
There are three differentiated courses to choose from: Core Skills, Trail Progression and Jumps and Drops. Please go and have a look at the website, watch a few You Tube videos and see which course you’d like to go on. It is one rider per course.
Core Skills is a good place to start if you are new to MTB or want to gain more confidence in your riding. Trail progression, an intermediate course, could be a natural step, if you have previously attended Core Skills.
The club is subsidising every rider for the value of £30 per course. Excellent value you’ll agree.
5th March- Core Skills (6 places / ½ day/£30 rider contribution)
12th March - Jumps and drops (6 places / full day/£55 rider contribution)
19th March - Trail Progression (6 places / ½ day/£30 rider contribution)
26th March - Trail Progression (6 places / ½ day/£30 rider contribution)
I will open the booking around the 20th December which gives everyone plenty of time to ask any questions and decide on the right course for their riding style. As stated in the last newsletter, places will be on a first come, first paid basis. Once paid for, the course is non-refundable, but places can be transferred to another rider.
