Today I have received two emails like the one below. It is a fabrication because the email address mentioned has nothing to do with the club website or my account on the forum. I have included the email address in question in the text of the odd post. That’s my best guess for why and how the email address in question has likely been scraped and used.
The apparent urgency is a typical scam tactic to prompt a response. There are other signs, such as the date the email was sent being 01/09/2024 (at the foot of the email).
Here’s a bit more info showing the sender. Note the space after Wix in the apparent email address and the actual email address used.
