My front disc has star squeaking at low speeds after a period of a few months off the road. I don’t see how it would have become contaminated with oil etc. I have cleaned with Muc-off disc cleaner. If that doesn’t resolve the issue is the next stage new pads? The pads/bike is only a year old and they don’t look too worn. Thanks

Thanks Chris. I assume I could use the disc cleaner spray for the alcohol part?
The disc and pad will have picked up some contamination from spray riding in the road.
Take the pads out, and rub a mixture of salt and washing up liquid (grinding paste texture) on the pads. Then pour over boiling water from the kettle and leave to dry. Clean the disc with alcohol (not a fine single malt) and kitchen roll, hand rubbing alcohol works well if you have some left.
I’ll give it a try! The first ride was flat so not too many descents. Thanks
Some nice heavy sharp braking on a decent helped mine.
