Only after you have cancelled they will likely offer seven months at half price to stay. Presumably that is to get you to the end of the Tour de France.
At more than twice the price of your previous subscription.
For a race that is free on ITV4 for one more year in 2025.
A VPN is certainly cheaper, for as long as some countries continue to value their national broadcasters who show cycling free-to-air. I quite like the Dutch language commentary on Sporza.
Interesting. I just went into my account to cancel the renewal and the next billing amount shows less than the £6.99 I usually pay. No communication yet from Discovery Plus. If this is connected to the change, it seems the Finance team is ahead of the Customer Service team on this one. Why should I be surprised?
Scott, I need you to come up with a word-salad about watching cycling whilst avoiding telling them that actually we're shafting them.
Ok boss. I’ve got this…
“The new home of cycling in the UK is going to be TNT Sports,” Scott Young, group senior vice president of WBD Sports Europe told the media in a presentation. “There is going to be a price rise for this premium sports channel. What we’ve looked at is creating value for money, taking the most premium sports properties as possible and creating the adjacency, creating a sports ecosystem where you get value.”

Some offer. No thanks.
FFS, that's it I'm done. Sporza via a VPN for me.
Changes are being made to subscriptions before they have been communicated to customers.
Those paying £6.99 per month are being moved onto the basic package, costing £3.99 per month from their next payment date.
So, I lose the one thing I want and they assume I want to pay a smaller amount for nothing I want. Interesting logic.
Subscription cancellation imminent.
For those with EE mobile packages you can get TNT as one of the ‘added benefits’ of a contract at no cost.
