We are organising Core Skills MTB coaching for any rider wanting to learn and/or improve their MTB skills. Our coach will be Katy Curd and team based down in the Forest of Dean. Katy is a retired world cup racer and has over 10 years experience in coaching.

Core Skills is a good place to start if you are new to MTB or want to gain more confidence in your riding.
The club is subsidising every rider for the value of £35 per course. Excellent value you’ll agree.
3rd May - Core Skills (6 places / ½ day/£30 rider contribution)
Whats covered:
BIKE CHECK Pre-ride bike check to ensure your bike is safe to ride before every trip out
BIKE SET UP A run through the basics of bike set-up including tyre pressures, saddle height, handle bar position.
BODY POSITION Learn how basic body positioning can help you to maintain control and balance helping you to feel safe whilst riding any trails
CORNERING How to maintain grip and control through position, line choice and braking
DESCENDING Keep in control with maximum grip whilst descending
BRAKING Learn where to brake and where to let the bike flow
ROLLING THROUGH TECHNICAL TRAIL FEATURES Tackle any trail feature with ease by learning how to let the bike roll through features
How to Book:
Places will be on a first come, first paid basis. Once paid for, the course is non-refundable, but places can be transferred to another rider. To book a slot please contact secretary.cheltenham@gmail.com Nina Hodgson will be one of the participants and the coordinator on the day.
