Goldilocks wanted to go on a bike ride. The daddy bear ride (4 July) was too wet! The baby bear ride (18 July) was too hot! Hopefully this will be the mummy bear option – fingers crossed!
Recheduled from 4 & 18 July – hopefully the weather will be kinder to us this time! If you have access to Facebook, please go to the Event here and click “going” so we have an idea of numbers. If not, please contact Fred Gittings or email email@example.com.
** Revised Routes ** in response to popular demand, I’ve removed the gravel sections from the previous routes. Fred will be leading a social group, coming home on a flatter route via Gloucester. A route back up the Slad valley has been offered as an alternative for other groups, should they want it.
o Over the Bridge & Flat home
o Over the Bridge & home via Slad Valley https://connect.garmin.com/modern/course/66886460

o Shops in Chepstow (60 miles) if you need supplies
o Berkeley Tea Rooms (76 miles)
General blurb on the Centenary rides:
We are celebrating the club centenary by launching a series of longer distance rides, with the specific goal of attracting and encouraging people who are doing the distance for the first time. We particularly want to encourage women in the club.
All rides will be a strictly social, no-drop, and will have café and lunch stops. Each ride will be led by experienced endurance riders who will provide directions, encouragement, and support.
If you haven’t done a century before, then you are who we want to attract. We really look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it on one or more of these rides.
