C&CCC Road Race – Volunteers Needed

On Sunday May 13th C&CCC host a prestigious round of the Cotswold League road race.

Over the challenging Bourton circuit sixty of the regions best cat 2,3 & 4 riders will battle it out over sixty miles of the stunning Cotswold countryside. Speeds most of us can only dream of, the mere mortals amongst us can admire from the sidelines, help running it, or for those with grand ambitions, maybe delusions, can enter and have a go themselves!

So back to the theme: your County Club needs you. Sunday May 13th: please put it in your diary and please volunteer to help make the event a great success. Should you be able to help then for your trouble the club will cross your palm with 200 of the Queen’s shillings (£10) in cash!

We need volunteers to support everything from signing on, marshalling, finish judges, commissaire support, lead car drivers, broom wagon, neutral support and others.

For those who fancy the experience (and have a race licence!) why not enter: after all wheel sucking is legal in a road race! You never know: points could be yours for the taking.

Please consider helping out, we will have motorcycle riders and accredited marshals from British Cycling but the club needs to support many other tasks.

Please email Martin on martincain@talktalk.net if you can help make this a great day.

Thanks for your help.
