Time for Cyclocross

Despite the summery feel to the weather over the weekend, it’s getting towards autumn and that means cyclocross! The Western League starts this Sunday (3rd September) at Bradford Upon Avon, with a more local round following at Gloucester Boating Lake on the 10th.

C&CCC are hosting round 4 at Pittville Park (by the Prince of Wales Stadium) on Sunday September 24th and round 12 at Chedworth Farm Shop on November 26th. It would be great to see a good turn out from club members. MTBs are welcome as well as cyclocross bikes and you can even get away with less suitable bikes while it stays dry (any road bikewith decent clearances will do).

As ever we need marshalls. If you can help out at Pittville on Sunday 24th September please contact Gordon Smillie via the contact page or speak to Gordon or Rob Haynes who are often out on the Saturday or Sunday morning club rides. Help will be needed with setting out the course, sign-on, marhsalling the races and clearing up. Since the winter league runs separate races for different age groups those racing should be able to marshall for other age groups. Please get in touch if you can help out.
