Just a quick update on a few items that we are looking for responses on…
Does anyone has strong opinions on these either way? Please send Robin a note (hotmail address or contacts page) or perhaps have a chat with one of the Committee when you see them next on a ride/café, etc.
We need a volunteer to write a survey that can be sent out to the membership. So, anyone fancy a go at marketing research, perhaps someone out there who is a dab hand at Survey Monkey or one of the alternatives? Please get in touch with Robin.
Another chance for the folks to spin around the Newport Velodrome on May 3rd at 8pm, under the guidance of a BC approved coach. Simon Tarrant has kindly volunteered to help us pull this together so please get in touch with him (or Robin) pronto if you want a night of fun blasting around the boards.
We now have 12 places to ride on the Pied Piper sportive which will be run on Sunday 9th July. The plan is that there will be two routes offered through C&CCC (100k and 100miles) and the riders will be picked at random from those who have expressed a specific interest. The caveats are that a club jersey MUST be worn on the day (but bear in mind that there are plenty to borrow out there so we are not making anyone purchase kit they do not want). So, if you are interested then let Robin know.
GOOD IDEAS OUT THERE?
If any club members have a particular interest on which they would like more information by way of a workshop or presentation, please could you forward suggestions to Gary (via the Contacts page) by the end of April. Gary will collate and then review with the Committee. Some suggestions are: Nutrition, the use of power meters, sports science, bike maintenance, cycle etiquette and practical training on the road, first aid…
