If you haven’t already volunteered for marshaling at the Hell of the North Cotswolds (HONC) ride, then now is the last opportunity to get involved with this fantastic event. This year’s HONC is proving as popular as ever with 1300 riders already signed up for the event on Sunday April 9th. The event generates substantial revenues for WCC & Cheltenham & County CC, as well as allowing us to make donations to a wide range of local & national organisations like The County Air Ambulance, The British Heart Foundation and Conservators of Cleeve Common. As you can imagine, the demands on resourcing such a large and prestigious event are quite large but the work itself should not be too taxing and could involve a good chunk of riding yer bike! To help the event run smoothly C&CCC will be providing on-course Marshaling on the day itself and putting out signage (on about half of the route) the day before. In return for helping out, all marshals receive an event medal and a T shirt to wear with pride!
We have had a good response to date but we still require a number of static marshals on Sunday April 9th, who will be allocated shifts of approximately 1hr 15mins throughout the AFTERNOON.
