Keep Sundays Special

The clocks are going back tonight so we all get an extra hour in bed and I cannot think of a finer way of celebrating that fact than by eating some chocolate and then getting out on the bike.

This Sunday the club has plenty on offer:
The usual Road fare which is a cracking ‘SPORTIVE’ ride around the patch on a nice challenging route with a café stop to catch your breath or a more social ‘CLUB’ ride with less ‘undulations’ but plenty to keep your heart rate up before a café stop to catch up on gossip or guess how old Doug’s jersey is (no prizes for the winner I’m afraid but the nearest century usually nails it).

Tomorrow also sees the start of the Winter Training Ride (WTR) programme with a steady paced ride out to Hanley Swan. The WTRs do not have a stop planned but are intended to help build some base fitness before gradually winding up the effort towards the Spring.
As usual, please keep an eye on the calendar but the current plan is to keep the Sportive ride going for the next 3 weeks (Starting @ 8:30) with the Club and WTRs starting at 9:00.

Don’t forget, there are also MTB options available in case anyone has a hankering for something knobbly and muddy.
